
It's raining outside. The freestone flows of the Smokies are roaring, and many of the local tailwaters are pumping two generators. So unless your fishing buddy has a good drift boat, I wouldn't advise getting too close to the water. Put the fly rod down. Step away from the water.
The good news is the Fescue is looking great in our neighborhood. But seriously, I don't want to complain about rain. A few months ago we were in a drought and we'll need every bit of this rain come July and August. I just wish we could strategically place a few sunnier weekends in between the floods.
